Dictionary companies choose same word of the year: pandemic
For the first time, two dictionary companies on Monday, Merriam-Webster and Dictionary.com, declared the same word as their tops: pandemic.

'Char Kway Teow', 'Chicken Rice' and 'Rendang' make it into the Oxford English Dictionary
Other words acknowledged by the 150-year-old dictionary are 'Aiyah', 'Aiyoh', 'Ang Pow, 'Atas', 'Balut', 'Bodoh', 'Kopitiam', and 'Mamak'.
